Library Services Desk
The Library Services Desk is located on the first floor of the Library just inside the main entrance and adjacent to the LWC Productivity. The desk is open during all Library hours of operation.
The Library Services Desk serves as the Library’s principal information gateway and is responsible for critical activities such as providing frontline reference services, assisting with research, and facilitating referrals to appropriate individuals, departments or organizations. Subject Librarians serve schools, departments, or colleges on campus and provide library classes and orientations, as well as one-on-one consultations. Support is provided via in-person, via email, over the phone, and through chat.Library Services Desk offers:

If Georgia Tech doesn’t have the materials that you need, we can help you find and borrow them from other libraries.
For in-depth assistance, we have Subject Librarians that can assist students in any subject discipline. These librarians serve as liaisons for the various schools, departments, and colleges on campus, and can provide one-on-one research help.
The Library Services Desk provides library information sessions on various topics, including:
- Course/project specific classes in collaboration with teaching faculty
- General sessions – on the Catalog, database searching, SFX
- Software sessions – Dreamweaver, Endnote, LaTeX,
- Orientations to the Library’s services & policies

In coordination with staff and students from the Office of Information Technology, Library Information Associates provide technology assistance to hardware and software in the Library West Commons, including support for printing, GT wireless configuration, and GT account management. After midnight we are the sole source of Technology support in the LWC.
