Join us for a series of unique presentations on Undergraduate Research in the “Pecha Kucha” style. This style, along with the open space, informal attitude, and close-by cafe, should give the evening a looser feel and provide chances for the audience and presenters to interact during & after the event.

  Introduction to Dreamweaver
Location: Homer Rice Center

This class will cover the basics of website creation using Adobe Dreamweaver CS3.  You will learn how to:

  • Set up your site and create multiple linked webpages
  • Modify page properties - background, text color, link colors, etc.
  • Add images and tables
  • Add internal and external hyperlinks
  • Add video and link to audio
  • Upload your webpages and files to your Prism account

  EndNote X2 for Science & Engineering Research - Training Session

Frustrated with preparing bibliographies and managing reference lists? Instead of spending hours typing bibliographies, or using index cards to organize your references, do it the easy way—by using EndNote! EndNote is a POWERFUL bibliographic management tool that will help with your research process.

Attend an introductory training session on using EndNote - the bibliographic management software available to the Georgia Tech community, as part of your Technology fee!

This hands-on session will include:
• Downloading records/citations from science & engineering bibliographic databases (Web of Science, INSPEC, Compendex, etc.)
• Entering records manually into an EndNote library
• Connecting to, and searching, library catalogs directly through EndNote
• Organizing your references in the EndNote database
• Manipulating records (sorting, formatting, etc.) within EndNote
• Importing records/citation into Word and creating a formatted bibliography.

Then this class is for you! LaTeX is a high-quality typesetting system, with features designed for the production of technical and scientific documentation.

The Introduction sessions are hands-on classes on the basics of using LaTeX, including the use of graphics and creating bibliographies. 
 
The Advanced sessions will cover:
    * Review of LaTeX Basics
    * GT Thesis Writing
    * Useful packages
    * Advanced figure tutorial
    * Beamer slideshow tutorial
    * Beamer poster tutorial
    * BibTeX bibliography tutorial
